03-04.02. -> Krabi

In the afternoon, we went from our hostel to the train station to book a night train to the south. We definitely didn't want to stay in Bangkok any longer. Unfortunately, the lady at the counter told us that everything was fully booked for today. Only the 1st class at 5:00 PM had some availability, but it was 10 euros more. So we decided to book our own little compartment.

The beds were actually very cozy and it was a very pleasant way to travel. However, the train was so bumpy at night that we could hardly sleep. We arrived in Surat Thani at 5:00 in the morning. From there, we continued our journey to Krabi by VIP bus.

In Krabi, we looked for a hostel and found a Hogwarts Hostel, among others! Unfortunately, it was fully booked, so we had to keep looking.

We then decided to go for a 10-bed room at the 'Best Time Hostel' and it was the most comfortable one we had so far:

Wide, cozy beds with proper warm blankets, no bugs, and a shower that had more than a few drops:

-> we were happy!

After a thorough shower and a nap, we booked a small private boat tour at the pier in Krabi to visit the landmark of Krabi (Khao Khanap Nam) and a small fishing village.

In the evening, Annika got sick..
