12/06/2021 - Val di Non

Sleeping in was the plan. In the morning, we drove back to Cles, the main village in Val di Non. We strolled through the streets to a viewpoint from where we could overlook Cles Castle and Lake Santa Giustina. In typical Italian fashion, we then enjoyed an espresso on the small main square of the city, which is located 650 meters above sea level. We continued our journey. We passed by huge apple orchards along the southern shore and admired the lake once again from the eastern side. With snow-covered mountains in the background and radiant sunshine, it was a fantastic panorama. In the supermarket, we stocked up on freshly sliced ham and cheese from the region for an Italian dinner, and then we headed back to our accommodation.
