Tag 64+65 Valbona Valley - just before Shkodra - Shkodra campground

The Drin River is dammed for energy production. This has resulted in the Fierza Reservoir and the Koman Reservoir, among others. Our ferry from Fierza to Koman went along the latter. It was another great find. It takes about 2:30 through fjord-like canyons. High cliffs on the left and right, and in the middle, the blue-green water. It's a small ferry, very pleasant atmosphere. Burki gets approached by 2 Italians who are interested in Rudi. Shortly after, one of them is already crawling under the car and fascinated by the all-wheel drive technology. The two organize off-road tours in Albania. The day before, we were still annoyed with them (secretly, of course) 😂. They were driving around the Valbona Valley with about 6 jeeps. But the two of them were really nice. Let's just leave it at that. We were able to enjoy the trip with the windows and sliding door open.

In between, we met a young couple. They are traveling with a camper van and were very likable. They liked that we have so much time, but also that we are going home because of the grandchildren (soon) 😂. They also mentioned Lenny's picture, which is hanging rather hidden. So cute. We spent the night by a river with a gentle splashing sound and plenty of birdlife.

Today we are back at a campground in Shkodra. Very good facilities, busy, and anything but typical for the country. But it's okay for 2 days. The washing machine is great and Burki is excited to watch soccer like a king.
