Stages 8+9 Glungezer Hütte - Lizumer Hütte. Lizumer Hütte - Tuxer Jochhaus

Right after breakfast, we set off. After all, this stage is all about the peaks today. It was constantly up and down, from one summit to another. It is a magnificent ridge walk with impressive panoramic views in all directions and a lot of rocky terrain. This section is supposed to be one of the most beautiful stages on this route. It was really nice that Farina was with us. I feel a bit safer in difficult terrain.

Actually, we climbed 8 peaks, unintentionally. Got lost again. 😏.

Another snorer in the room, that's really annoying. But what can you do? We left early today because Farina is going back to Munich this afternoon. The first 3 hours were uphill. Sometimes very steep. Rain and wind at 10 degrees between 2000 and 2700 m. Uncomfortable. First we went up to Geierjoch. Unfortunately, no view, passed the deep blue Lake Jun, descent through the wide plain of the dead soils and up again to the Geschützspitzsattel. Then descent into Weitental and ascent to Tuxer Jochhaus. I particularly liked the valleys with the lush green meadows surrounded by mountains.
