Farewell to Namibia

Today is the official last day of our trip, which we begin with a balanced breakfast, just like yesterday. We then load our luggage into the car and set off for Windhoek. There we make one last stop at the Namibia Crafts Center, where there are many beautiful art objects, this time at fair fixed prices. So no African bargaining - tourism has clearly arrived here. We find one or two souvenirs and fill our backpacks so that there is really no room left. Then we go to the "car wash" where the vehicle is cleaned of the dust of the last 3 weeks. With the vehicle clean we go to the car rental company, where we return the car and are then taken to the airport and wait for our - delayed - departure.

We have now completed 21 days in which we drove around 6000 km through Namibia and Botswana. On this journey we were able to gather countless new impressions about the country and its people, culture, nature, wildlife and much more. All of this together makes the experience a thoroughly successful trip, which unfortunately now comes to an end.
