Today was the return journey. We would like to say the following about the Cayman Islands. It is a wonderful destination. But be careful, bring your big wallet. Prices in the Caymans are sometimes more expensive than in Switzerland. And very important, they add taxes and fees to every amount. Madness 😱🤣
We traveled back to Orlando. Just like the first time we traveled, the immigration process was no problem at all. Either it's because of the travel time (not high season) or it's not as big a deal as it's always said to be. They are strict when it comes to the process (only joint questioning if you live in the same household or a ban on using phones at the airport), but otherwise very nice. In Tampa, we had to use the electric machines to fill out the import declaration and scan the passports. Then we were inspected by an officer and received the entry stamp. Without any problems.
We then picked up the rental car at Alamo. They were super friendly and uncomplicated. We got a completely new car. Not driven any miles yet. We can only recommend them.
On the way to Orlando, we had some traffic. Of course, it happened during rush hour.
When we arrived at the hotel, we were delighted when we saw the room or rather the apartment. The hotel is called Grand Villa Diamond Resort. We even have our own kitchen.
We decided to go to Walmart. Oh my goodness, we have never seen anything this huge before. We were there for 1.5 hours and didn't even buy much 🤣 it was very misleading. Since we have a washing machine in our hotel, we really wanted to buy detergent tabs for it. We found them too. In addition, we are going to the Kennedy Space Center and Disneyland in the next two days. We decided to bring our own sandwiches. The parks themselves are already very expensive.
So now I wish you good night and see you tomorrow 😘
