Tandem tour day 40

Petra:

Today was ideal cycling weather. The route was varied with beautiful sections along the Meurthe and 'la Moselle' (Moselle) and less beautiful sections along the highway. In Pont-a-Mousson, we had a very delicious lunch following the waiter's recommendation, only downside: a bit expensive, but really tasty. Then we rode past our destination a little too eagerly and had to turn back.

We would like to thank the people who made this trip possible through their participation, our children and Karin for taking care of the house and cats, and of course the children for providing transportation to France.

As mentioned before, we rode along the Meurthe from Nancy, which flows into the Moselle after about 10 km. Then we continued on the Moselle cycle path. Our bike map had a recommended excursion to a viewpoint over the Moselle Valley in Pont-a-Mousson, but only if you like multiple ramps with gradients of up to 16%, so not for us.
