The last South American, namely Ecuadorian, food is ahead of us. Time to think in the restaurant about what we will miss and what we will look forward to.
We are looking forward to:
Family and friends
Big bed (bigger than 1.40m)
Hairdresser and beauty salon (Petra), gym, cycling, cinema and theater, bookstores (Oliver).
Security against thieves and tricksters as well as pedestrians, drinkable water from the tap, toilets that take toilet paper, tight windows without drafts, 'smooth' roads that do not make the car bounce, always warm shower and breakfast without eggs and strawberry jam.
We will miss:
The freedom to enjoy the day together, the incredible vastness and diversity in nature, speaking Spanish, the serenity, helpfulness and friendliness of the people, the food and wine, the old and new culture, the variety of new experiences and insights, the (Salsa) music, which can be heard everywhere (also on buses), the pleasant climate.
Among our insights is, among other things, that Germany is a wonderful country: we have medical care around the clock and hospitals where you don't have to pay for the food yourself, regulated working hours with occupational health and safety provisions, pensions, social security, environmental protection (measures), and a good education for all, a police force and politicians who are generally not corrupt = a democracy that can call itself that.
