At the airport in Buenos Aires, we treated ourselves to a delicious coffee from McDoof and used the good internet connection for our first WhatsApp messages to our families back home.
Then we took a taxi to the port in Buenos Aires city. The taxi driver's driving style was already spectacular, but what was truly remarkable was his choice of music... the man was listening to Die Toten Hosen at full volume and singing along loudly with a mercilessly bad pronunciation of the refrains... eventually, we joined in and enjoyed our first car tour through Buenos Aires, singing along in chorus with the daredevil taxi driver... it had something surreal about it...
Our boat didn't leave until a few hours later, and since our luggage was too heavy for longer walks, we made ourselves comfortable in the marina next to the Buquebus terminal in the sun.
After a monotonous crossing on the speedboat, the port of Montevideo welcomed us with a magnificent skyline. (Pictures will come later) This was followed by the next daring taxi ride - this time to the 'sounds' of Rammstein!!! We will continue to investigate this mystery of the musical taste of the local taxi drivers.
