Test results

Day 17

The test results are finally here... and after multiple requests, they were finally shared with me.

All the fruits and vegetables that we suspected tested negative, which doesn't rule out a cross-reaction allergy, but rather points towards fructose intolerance.

Since we started eating fruit-free and avoiding all fructose products (including gummy bears, jam, etc.), Markus has had much less diarrhea. Unfortunately, there are still setbacks from time to time.

The only downside is that the fish came back with a higher RAST class.

So we actually had fish for lunch. In the lectures, I learned that if an allergen hasn't caused any problems before, it can be safely continued (since the body has developed tolerance). However, Markus didn't eat the hake 😱 His face turned red, his mouth only slightly swelled, and then he started itching. I was briefly afraid that it would get worse, but luckily it calmed down. 😰

We spent the afternoon outdoors again, enjoying the sunshine while we still can.
