Traveling to Kanazawa with the Shinkansen

Avaldatud: 10.10.2018

Train travel is amazing!

At Tokyo's main station, it can be a challenge to find the right train, but just calculate enough time!

Information people are available everywhere.

Everything is also written in English on the ticket.

On the display, it switches between Japanese and English,

but Japanese looks much more beautiful.

Stand in the correct line: 'First' for the first train, 'Second' for the second train.... and cheating NEVER happens!

When the train arrives, the entire staff bows to the locomotive..... Picture will follow another time. I still travel by train often.

Final destination Tokyo Station. The carriage will be spotlessly cleaned in a few minutes. Finally, the cleaning team bows (here a bit chaotic, normally exactly in rhythm) and disappears for the next assignment.
Now you can get on the train and it will depart exactly on time.

I'll buy a coffee with lemon cake at the trolley.
The cups are smarter than ours... good for drinking and can be sealed again. It also comes with a garbage bag, so that you take everything with you and dispose of it on the platform in the end.

Don't miss the toilets! Very clean and functional: e.g. with a seat for the child while mommy is using the bathroom.

Of course, a diaper changing table...

Everything is also written in English..
You don't even touch the lid/seat, see button on the right.

This is always the first thing I do when I arrive at the airport:
go to the bathroom. It's wonderful, after the ordeal on the plane, even in business class. In Japan, there's always Clos-o-Mat (washlet) even in the simplest places and most of the time it's super clean. In the autumn, the seat will be heated. I'm just curious what the Japanese think of the toilets in Europe!?!?

The trip went to the mountains to Nagano and

then through the tunnel to the other coast to Kanazawa..

here harvested rice fields. The rice harvest is almost finished now.

Ja toll, eine Zugfahrt, von der man was erzählen kann. Sieht ja wirklich blitzsauber aus !
