Day trip to Edinburgh - Better said Haggis is almost as good as Bobby 🐕‍🦺

Dear travel friends

Good morning from Edinburgh, dear travel enthusiasts. Today our day began without the infamous packing of suitcases - a real respite after a week full of adventures. Why? Because we were allowed to stay in the same hotel for a second night.

Our day began with a bus ride through the Scottish countryside, accompanied by information about the unique "Unicorn National Day" - yes, you heard that right, Scotland has a soft spot for these majestic mythical creatures. And while we smiled about the significance of this special day, we pulled out a few bills for the envelopes with the well-deserved tip for our guide Robert and driver Simon.
After this happy atmosphere, we went on an exciting city tour through Edinburgh.

One of the highlights: the stop at Greyfriars Bobby, the famous statue of a legendary terrier. Who would have thought that there was so much history in a dog? The dog is said to have carried a stick to the grave every day after his master died. Bobby was a good dog.

Then it was time for free time. In good company, we explored the city center, hopped from shop to shop and bought souvenirs for our loved ones back home.

The highlight of the day was the legendary Haggis, the Scottish national dish. We bravely took on this culinary challenge and were rewarded with a real taste experience.

And guess what? Today we even have time to get to the hotel early. You can probably imagine what that means: a trip to the pub to end our time in Glasgow in style before we slowly head home tomorrow.
