Wow, no water again! Since last night, no one in Granada could take a shower or flush the toilet. 16 hours without water accumulation. And when the water finally came back, Candida filled up the emergency tank first before starting to wash. She also keeps the water running the whole time and now there's no water coming to my bathroom on the first floor. In the end, I had to shower downstairs using a small bowl, and eventually the flush tank finally filled up. Oh well. At least I have something to look forward to when I return: stable water conditions.

Today at the project: This constant interference when I talk to one of the other kids is testing my patience. Ignoring them doesn't help. So I explain it again. I'm just glad that I'm not the only one. I've become stricter. I don't tolerate them lounging on their chairs and not listening when I speak to them anymore. I make them erase and rewrite the line for the umpteenth time if they don't leave a space between the words. No mercy. Especially my Grade 4 dream team in the "Goldfish" class gets a regular scolding. Pricilla often doesn't do what I tell her. Instead, she sits in her chair looking bored and chewing on her pencil. Does she even realize what an opportunity this project is for her, who struggles with reading and writing, that I'm not doing all this work for nothing, and maybe she should wait outside. Saucer-sized eyes. Leydi easily gets distracted and needs to be brought back in. She's simple-minded but trying. Valeria is similar. The fact that she's making an effort is new though. I already described José Angel before: Lovely but exhausting. And yet, there was a big outcry when Profesor Luis wanted to change the groups. And at the end of the class, they hugged me goodbye. We're friends again by that time.

Feels like 35 degrees, actual temperature is 29 degrees, slightly cloudy, hardly any wind.
