The used day

The night was sh…… My conformation bladder woke up every hour and in between I only had bad dreams. Today we have to break down our camp in Ucluelet.

Thanks to the RKT drops, the sore throat is gone, but the circulation is going crazy.

Today we have to pass the construction site again, where we stood for 5 hours 3 days ago. Our GPS has suggested an alternate route. However, our landlord said that they are mostly gravel roads and private roads. The tourist office also confirms this. But at 12:30 our direction will be allowed through. Well then, let's go.

The route is not very spectacular. 

We didn't notice this on the way there. We reach the end of the traffic jam at 12:14. This would not happen in Old Germany, a complete road closure without a detour - unimaginable. But different countries, different customs.

And the cars on the opposite lane pass us. 

We're still at a standstill at 1:00 p.m. Well, is it not going to work? But then it starts, towards the ski resort, 

Towards Campbell River.

Our booked hotel is slightly outside, right on the water. Quite nice, maybe we have a room with a river view.

Unfortunately, in our price range, we only have the annex with partial river view. 

But never mind, I'll get into bed with a fever, I don't care about the view today.

Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow.
