Cities are meant to be explored. Some people manage to leave the hotel early, have a coffee and a croissant at the next corner, and tick off all the sights. As I said, some people manage to do that, we don't.
Our routine is slightly different: sleep in, chop up some fruits, toast some bread, set the table, and have a leisurely breakfast. Then quickly check in, oh and reorder the food for the flight (which turns out to be a bit more complicated), check how much the Sky Tower entrance fee is, and whoosh, it's 2:00 p.m.
So let's go, we still need souvenirs. The Victoria Park Market with its small shops is nearby, says the internet.
A beautifully renovated brick building, unfortunately more than half of the stalls were empty. And there were no souvenirs either. Through Victoria Park,
heading towards the yacht harbor. The amount of money there is unbelievable.
Well, we can't afford a yacht like that, but we can have a pizza and two glasses of wine at the harbor.
The sun is really hot.
We continue strolling along the harbor,
and slowly approach the souvenir shops. After some shopping, we go in search of something to eat. TripAdvisor recommends the restaurant "ela" and we take it. It's an Indian restaurant and very delicious. 😋😋😋
There is one more sight to see and we need to hurry because the sun is about to set. The Sky Tower
It has 3 observation decks and we were on the highest one at a height of 220 meters.
A great view of Auckland.
