Sydney - the most beautiful city in the world ??

..... for me it is .... and has been for over 20 years......

Admittedly, I don't know many international cities, but Sydney MUST be at the top ..... many facts simply speak for it.

But let's start from the beginning....

Yesterday we arrived at the airport early in the morning. After some searching for the right shuttle bus, we decided to take the regular bus to Bondi Beach.

We were a bit short on time and had to run to catch the bus. Unfortunately, it had already left, but the driver still stopped when he saw that we wanted to catch the bus. This was already very nice. Then we wanted to pay, but the driver just waved us through. In Sydney, you need a prepaid card for the bus, which we didn't have.

The driver didn't mind and so he took us to Bondi Beach for free. We also found it very nice that many people thanked the bus driver when they got off. Hard to imagine something like that in Germany.

Before looking for our accommodation, we had to go to the beach first - with all our luggage for the first photo 😉!

A glance at the phone already showed the first call! Richard - the owner of the backpackers - had already called to say that our passports had been found at the airport. We hadn't even noticed that until then!! He already had a solution - he would take me there later to pick them up,

Another nice Australian!!!!

The accommodation: very simple - great location - cheap!!!

I have to admit that I significantly increase the average age here ☺️! The 'normal' backpacker is between 18-25! 🙄

After a nap, a trip to the airport, then a tour to Circular Quay - blue hour at the Opera House with a view of the Harbour Bridge or 'hanger'.

I was surprised: everything seemed much smaller - sooo much had changed in the city center!

At the Opera House, everyone was sitting outside, heated by small fires at the tables. It was already dark at 5 p.m.!!!

Deep winter and you can still sit outside - unbelievable!!!

Quickly shopping - cooking at home and off to bed.....

.... and what is so beautiful about Sydney?

Incredibly friendly people - every salesperson starts a nice conversation.... everyone is helpful! The sun almost always shines! Even in winter!!! Allegedly, July is the month with the least rain! If that alone isn't great....

Beautiful cityscape - 1000 small shops! The location by the water - indescribable!

My question to Daniel 'What is the most beautiful thing about Sydney?'

His answer: 'EVERYTHING'!!!
