The main goal of this day was to check out Zoe's accommodation for the next month. Happily, we first went to an organic farm. There are plenty of them here. They offer things like picking from the tree and straight to the plate. We were excited, but when we arrived, they were fully booked... too bad. But there are also many street vendors selling fresh fruits and vegetables. So we had strawberries and a friendly chat with a recommendation of where we could find a delicious breakfast. Such tips are always good, and this time it proved to be true. We also passed by a lavender farm, which didn't have the scale of the lavender fields in Provence but still provided relaxation, which we needed for our next stop. Zoe's accommodation was very, very disappointing - Jackie would say: character-building. 😉 The house is owned by a Swiss person who rents out rooms. It looked okay from the window, but outside... well. Zoe already had the rental agreement and the code to get inside. We tried the code several times, but it didn't work. So we left with the plan to call the landlord on Monday to see what's wrong with the code. After about 1 km, we saw 3 police cars with sirens and flashing lights coming towards us in the direction we came from. Well, there's a lot of room for interpretation now. Zoe was pale on the passenger seat, leaning back and almost sticking to the rear window to see exactly where they were going. "Turn around, Mom - we have to see if they're going to the house where we probably triggered the alarm!" But I pressed a little harder on the gas - you don't always have to know everything. 😊

The target for the day was to check out Zoe's accommodation for the next month. Happily, we started our journey and headed first to an organic farm. They offer something like "from the tree to the plate". Yap - we like that, but when we arrived, they were fully booked... never mind. There are many street stalls here, selling fresh fruits and vegetables. So we got fresh strawberries and a lovely chat with a recommendation where we could have a nice breakfast. Such advice is normally very good and also this time it was spot on. Then we passed by a lovely Lavenderfarm, which didn't have the size of the Lavenderfields of the Provence, but it relaxed us anyway, which we dearly needed on our next stop. The accommodation of Zoe was very disillusioning - Jackie would call it: character-building 😉 The house is owned by a Swiss guy who rents out rooms. We could peek through the windows and the inside looked OK, just the outside was... ehmmm. Since Zoe already had the rental agreement, she also had the entrance code. We tried it multiple times - but it didn't work. So we left, thinking we would contact the tenant on Monday to check out what is the matter. After about 1 km, 3 police cars with blue lights and all the crazy sound dashed past us in the direction where we came from. Now, here there is a lot of room for interpretation/speculation at this point. Zoe white as a sheet next to me, turned and nearly glued to the rear window to see where they were heading too. "Mum, turn around, we must see if they are driving to our house, where we probably have triggered the alarm!". I, however, put my foot down on the accelerator - we don't always need to know everything 😊 do we?
