22.09./ 23.09. Universal Studios & Santa Monica Pier

Today we went to Universal Studios! We had booked our tickets online – and that was lucky, because there was currently a deal: two days for the price of one! Great, we thought, because who can have too much fun?

Since we started the day fairly relaxed, we only arrived at Universal Studios at around 10:30 am. Unfortunately, there was a minor incident at the security check: Moritz was identified as a potential criminal because there was a pocket knife and scissors in our backpack. Since the knife was very important to Moritz, he went back to the car. 

The way to the parking garage felt like an odyssey through what seemed like the world's largest shopping street, full of merchandising shops and fast-food chains. After 20 minutes, Moritz eventually returned, drenched in sweat and with the expression of a man who had just run a marathon in the heat.

We quickly took some more pictures and then finally made it into the park!

Our adventure began with a one-hour studio tour. We hopped into a bus and drove through the sacred halls of Hollywood. Experiencing film sets up close was super interesting
