Today the alarm clock rings at 6.45am because we have booked a boat tour in Milford Sound to see the apparently incredibly beautiful fjords and sea arms. We are excited! In any case, the drive to this abandoned village is very beautiful and adventurous. Unfortunately, it is starting to rain more and more and when the boat sets sail at 8.55am sharp, it is pouring with rain - at 12 degrees and icy wind. The weather does not change during the entire two-hour journey. However, this does not stop us from spending most of the journey on the upper deck - after all, we want to see something! Despite adverse conditions, the journey is impressive and we can see smaller and larger waterfalls everywhere that thunder into the sea directly in front of us (see photos)! Completely soaked and quite frozen, we return to our camper, where we warm up and put on dry clothes. Strengthened with a coffee or a chai latte, we take the same route back out of this valley and make some stops along the way, where we enjoy the unique landscape and capture it with a few photos, including the beautiful Mirror Lakes or the countless sheep ;-)
