Tough days in Caraguatatuba

After having dinner in Paraty last time, the next morning we took the bus towards Caraguatatuba. Estimated travel time: 2 hours and 40 minutes, actual travel time: 6 hours. Anyway, we eventually arrived in Caraguatatuba and went to our Pousada.

Unfortunately, it turned out that the Pousada was not as comfortable as advertised on the Internet. Well, we survived, even though the room had no hot water, no Wi-Fi, and no daylight.

Caraguatatuba also had its good sides. This included the buffet restaurant Mais Um, where we had dinner every day.

On the first day in Caraguatatuba, we decided to explore the city. Apart from a small amusement park on the beach, which was closed, it was rather disappointing, so we quickly returned to our Pousada. Since there wasn't much else to do, we watched the Lord of the Rings movie, which Rémy luckily had saved on his laptop.

On the second day in Caraguatatuba, we went to Mococa Beach. It was partly crowded, but we found a peaceful and beautiful spot right by the edge of the forest. We were also reminded of our biology class with Mr. Zschokke by finding a sea urchin: Yay!

After our last night at Pousada Harmonia, we checked out early this morning and took the bus towards Sao Sebastiao. Here, we checked into our Airbnb room with Gisele. It is very comfortable, has Wi-Fi, daylight, and even a small kitchen. Now, we are looking forward to beautiful days in Sao Sebastiao and Ilhabela.
