From our parking space just outside Trondheim, we took the bus to the city center. We were already very impressed while driving through the neighborhoods. And this enthusiasm continued to carry us through Trondheim. A beautiful city that really convinced us. And here we finally saw several small cafes, restaurants, and pubs. In Norway, it is rather uncommon to sit in a cafe and chat. The people are very reserved, and they prefer to spend their evenings with friends at home instead of sitting in the park and grilling. For us tourists, that means spending the evening at the camper van. However, it also saves a lot of money. Norway is very expensive. Currently, a scoop of ice cream costs 6 euros, a kebab costs 18 euros.
Trondheim is definitely worth a visit. This city manages the balancing act between students, history, modernity, culture, and art very well. If you travel to Norway, you should definitely make a stop here.
