Jaro pasas rapide...

... and so we have already reached the end of our travels. From the start on August 24, 2022 until the final return on June 12, 2023, we were on the road for 236 (out of a range of 292) days. During that time, we visited 8 countries on 6 continents (Africa was the only one missing).

In many ways, we were lucky - whether it was that Corona had just left in time, that we didn't have any illnesses on the way, that everything went perfectly with the organization, that the weather was mostly on our side, and that the animal world generously presented itself in front of our cameras... Also, the fact that our colleagues accepted and completed the additional work resulting from our absence (almost :-) ) without complaint contributed to our ability to enjoy the past year to the fullest - thank you once again here.

We cannot and do not want to leave a novel behind of everything we have seen and experienced - a few pictures (approximately one for each day) once again show the diversity of the landscapes and animals we saw.

Overall, about 75,000 photos and several hours of film were taken, which now await editing and various selection processes before interested viewers can be given homeopathic doses of them. But for us, this also means - in addition to all the work - that we can calmly review our many experiences during the upcoming post-processing and enjoy them again.

So we let the impressions sink in for now, and this blog is going to sleep. If we want to use it again for further 'conventional' travel reports, we will let potentially interested people know again ...
