The past few days

The school is still not improving. I am very bored and don't feel needed or useful. I am still not able to communicate with the children effectively using sign language. At least not in a way that I can teach. I will discuss alternatives with Lena in the next few weeks. I have also inquired about my holiday dates and found out that they are quite long. Midterm Break is from 16.3.-3.4. and Term Break is from 27.4-20.5. I will definitely have the opportunity to look into other projects during that time. And maybe I can even switch, I will see 😊

On the other hand, I went to the gym three times this week with Jeannie and went salsa dancing three times, which I really enjoy. In Germany, I usually dance Cuban salsa, but here they only dance LA-style. It's really cool to learn something new and the people are very nice. Of course, the age average is much higher than me, but that doesn't bother me. Yesterday evening, we all went to a very beautiful and touching contemporary dance performance. The dance group explored social issues such as early marriage in their dances, which was extremely impressive.

To be honest, my excitement for the trip has been limited in the past few days. On the one hand, I am still processing the experiences from the last trip, and on the other hand, there are many fun things happening at home this weekend. On Saturday, Chiara and Laura have their birthdays, which I unfortunately will miss :(.
