Today we are having a very calm day. The reason for the change in plans is the weather forecast (rain from Wednesday afternoon until Thursday evening). We are not interested in camping in wet and cold conditions at an altitude of 2200 m; we will stay at lower grounds.

Today's route:

Roubion (1623 m) - Plampinet (1483 m) - Val-des-Prés (1394 m) - Le Rosier (1378 m)

The short day hike in the Vallée de la Clarée along the river of the same name is beautiful and relaxing. In the rather dreary Val-des-Prés, we see road signs with Occitan language for the first time. We doubt if they still speak it here (but we don't know).

It starts raining when we set up the tent at 15:45, although not for very long. According to the forecast, it will rain heavily overnight.

Tomorrow we will be in Briançon all day and will stay overnight in a hotel there.
