After it had snowed all night, there was about 15 cm of snow in the morning. The snowplows had already been busy (at half past seven, that's when they woke me up). Because the weather was so great, Alex and I decided to go on a winter hike to the local mountain Grøneholten.
We started at 11 am and after some steep sections and a few slips because there was ice under the snow, we reached the summit. It took about one and a half hours. From there, we had wonderful views and decided to take a longer break.
There is a cliché that the weather in Norway constantly changes. After this hike, I can absolutely confirm that. It not only changed between dry, snow, sleet, and rain, but when we took a break at the summit, we could sometimes see the sun through the mist, sometimes we could see the fjord, sometimes not. It changed so often. And we were only sitting there for 10 minutes!
After this first winter outing, we sat down and lit the first candle of our Advent'something'.
Enjoy the abundance of pictures (I couldn't just delete some of them) and have a nice first Advent!
