Day 1 in Paris

On 02.09.19, our 2nd Interrail trip across Europe started!

We were at Kaiserslautern train station at 10 o'clock sharp, only to find out that our train to Paris was cancelled. Great, that's a great start. We actually expected delays and cancellations towards the end of our trip in Eastern Europe.

So we went to David's apartment first, planned our further journey and then went to the university cafeteria for lunch. At 14:22, we finally headed to Paris, where we arrived after a 2.5-hour ride.

After checking into our Airbnb, we explored Montmartre, walked to Sacré-Coeur and had a picnic on the steps in front of it.

And just like that, the first day was over!
