We drove to a wildlife farm called 'Immenhof' on the edge of the Erongo Mountains after Etosha. A wildlife farm is a farm where wild animals can roam freely within the premises (in our case, 7,000 hectares!). The animals are either sold to zoos or other areas in Africa, or they are released for hunting.
On the Immenhof premises, bushmen who lived there thousands of years ago left drawings on rocks. One drawing shows a giraffe being hunted, and on another rock, there are traces of animal footprints. It is believed that the drawings are more than 3,000 years old and the footprints were used for training.
Immenhof also has granite rocks that sound hollow when you hit them with a stone, a bit like church bells.
We also saw our first python snake in the water there - it was beautiful.
