We decided to only visit one or two major cities in Andalusia (or even in all of Spain) as we prefer to stay in the countryside. Instead of Cordoba, we visited Granada because we also wanted to see the legendary and historic Alhambra.
The Alhambra is a significant fortress complex on the Sabikah hill in Granada, Spain, which is considered one of the most important examples of Moorish-style Islamic art. The Alhambra has been a World Heritage Site since 1984.
Jasmin managed to get the highly coveted tickets in a short period of time. So we took a few hours to admire this huge complex high above the city. 'Actually', it only had tickets without entry to the Nasrid Palaces. We don't exactly remember how we ended up in these magnificent buildings, but it might have something to do with our way of traveling. We like to take detours and find the quiet paths against the stream of people.
