Thanks to the tape and my walking poles, my foot was fine, but my legs were aching. Yesterday’s nearly 20 km took their toll and marked my current limit (15 km is my comfort zone).

I followed the signs through a village to the next church.
Pilgrim 1x1:
Pilgrims greet one another on the Camino with ‘Buen Camino’. And they use the informal ‘du’ when speaking to one another, that is, when conversing in German. The path led up to a hill overlooking Viana do Castelo and the River Lima, which flows from east to west into the Atlantic.
Tomorrow I will leave the Camino Coastal Route and walk along the southern bank of the Lima until I join the Camino Central Route, before setting off on my return journey to Porto
Carlos is very nice and was kind enough to do my washing. In the meantime, I popped round to the café just round the corner in my ‘pyjama bottoms’ to get my evening meal.
