Punta Negra: a little bit of everything

Punta Negra is a district of Lima that is mainly known for its wide sandy beach.

There are still few visitors who enjoy their leisure time in the sand and water, but in the summer numerous tourists as well as residents of other districts of Lima come to Punta Negra to take a break from the city noise and to enjoy the sea air.

                           

                                                             

Therefore, some have beautiful small (or large) vacation homes in the cliffs and hills of Punta Negra, from which you have a fantastic view of the sea.

                                         

However, what makes Punta Negra special is not only the beach, but also the fact that people from many different social classes live here, which is different in many other districts. In the streets of Punta Negra there are small houses and shops, but also large, expensive new buildings that even have their own way to the beach and are perched directly on the cliffs at the edge of the sea.

                             

I was particularly impressed by the small shops with their sweet and salty delicacies and also the beautiful beach in Punta Negra, and I am looking forward to going there again in the summer to swim in the sea.
