Howth is a peninsula near Dublin and was originally a fishing village. I was there with Lisa and we even saw seals, but unfortunately only for a short time, so I couldn't take a photo. They make funny noises, like an annoyed snorting dog. The place has a beautiful harbor and the Cliff Walk is amazing, you have beautiful views. But the signs for the hiking trails have nothing to do with ours. Occasionally there were small plaques with arrows in different colors, but that was it, no information about how long or how far. And you had to find them first, once we went the wrong way because the path was hardly visible under a house and we ended up walking along the main road instead. At the beginning, it said that the walk would take 2-3 hours, since we didn't want to rush and wanted to take nice pictures, we planned for 3 hours. However, we were on the road for 4 hours, which I haven't been hiking for that long in ages:)
It was definitely a great day and there is so much more to see in Howth, so we definitely want to go back later.
