I have been in Peru for a few days now, to be more precise in Lima, the capital, a metropolis of 9.6 million people, and I am extremely amazed! Let me briefly explain, a little something about myself. I am more of a person who is drawn to places where there is not much trouble, more nature than city, green meadows, forests, but mostly the mountains leave me grinning and so the decision was made for Peru, a country full of nature, coast, rainforests and of course incredibly high and beautiful mountains, so the idea of Lima was a bit scary and the plan was actually to leave the loud city immediately and dive into the interior of the country, but through a few nice plans and coincidences, the situation is now that I have to stay in this city for a few days and this 'have to' has become the wrong word after 4 days! Of course, 4 days is not enough to learn everything about a city, but the first impression is great! The people everywhere are friendly, smiling, greeting you on the street, you are never alone, everywhere you get into conversations, the streets appear clean overall, the picture that is offered along the kilometer-long promenade is simply beautiful, below the sea, then the wide street, mountain and a cool skyline, many small green areas everywhere, large parks and small authentic shops alternate with modern houses, all very colorful and beautiful, for a big city! :) I like it here... In general, my start in Peru was outstanding, not only because I fell in love with the city but also because Scarlett's plane landed on the same day that I arrived and it was just nice to be in company, starting the day with a 'what are WE doing today?'. Thank you Scarlett, it was a few nice days with you on the other side of the world! I wish you all the best for your further travels ;) and the next big visit won't be long.... But now, first a few pictures, the first impressions from Lima! Have fun :)
