Mahalo Waikiki

I will be staying in Honolulu for 2 more nights. However, on the 2nd day, I have to be at the airport at 6:00 in the morning. Fortunately, my hotel is right by Waikiki Beach, so I am going to spend some time there. There is Hawaiian music and dance. According to these people, women were not allowed to dance before, only men were. This is because these were spiritual acts that took place at sacred places. I went to a bar to have a drink and met people from Philadelphia who told me that there will be a concert the next evening and the cast of Hawaii Five-0 will be at the beach. I had to remember that, it could be interesting.

The next morning, I made my way to Pearl Harbor. It takes about an hour by public bus to get to the harbor. Admission and visit to the memorial are free. I also took the guide so that I didn't have to read too much. It is quite impressive to see the pictures and to know that many people died here and are resting here. Took the bus back to the beach. Should I go to Diamond Head or not? No, I'll skip it and go eat and drink something. I treated myself to the first sweet on my journey, an ice cream. I went to the beach with it and ate it very leisurely. Then it's time to go to the event venue. I'm curious to see what will happen here. When I arrive at the venue, there are already many people sitting in beach chairs. I don't want to sit, so I'm standing. There is a DJ on stage and he is playing good music, the atmosphere is really great. You can tell that most of the people here are locals who are enjoying the spectacle.

Finally, the actors from the Hawaii Five-0 series arrive. Apparently, they were shooting on this day, that's why they are here so late. They walk on a red carpet, some even on sand, and then they are near me.

There is a concert by a famous artist, but I can't remember the name anymore. But he sings really well.

Then, they showed the first part of the 7th season. It was very new, so it was a premiere. It was really a great show.

I really enjoyed Hawaii, even more as time went on. It's not easy for me to leave here, I feel almost at home. I would go on vacation here again right away, but maybe just on one island, with more beaches.
