After the engine repair holds further surprises for us, the alternative to buying an engine here becomes more and more attractive. So let's go on a motor search. As I said, there are not many diesel vehicles here, so it is quite difficult to find one, and it should also be affordable. We found two, both are Toyota engines, one with a turbo and 150 hp, one with 79 hp. 150 hp sounded great to me, but you only hear that the turbo is breaking. So it's better to play it safe and buy the one without the turbo. We then spoke to the man who installs engines in other cars professionally, he said 'yes, that works', but only if we buy the appropriate transmission for it. We didn't really like that, but we have no choice. A day later, they found a suitable transmission and we went with our mechanics to take a look. At first glance, they said that the transmission looks like it has been repaired before, so open it and take a look inside. We're getting tired of surprises. We then talked to the mechanic who installs the engine again, and he said that it would work with our transmission under the circumstances. We were pretty happy about that.

So then tow the third one from the Bosch workshop to the 'workshop' of the engine installer. Since he needs a week, we travel to Rurrenabaque, the gateway to Bolivia's rainforest, and go on a jungle tour. We are really looking forward to doing something other than car repairs.
