The fog has dissipated and given way to bright sunshine after we left Bremen behind. The arrival to Cologne is delayed because there are people on the road. There is a lot going on at the train station. The next steps are discussed in a quiet corner. After about an hour it becomes clear what we have to do and what we have to take out of our suitcase so that we are properly dressed in the mosque. The luggage is stored in the lockers. The first stop in Cologne is Cologne Cathedral. Unfortunately this is not open. Then it goes to the Hohenzollern Bridge, which is also known as Cologne's love lock bridge. Our own lock is unfortunately in the suitcase. The previously lost time pushes us back to the station quickly so that we can catch our subway on time. Stepping out of the subway station, we walk in the wrong direction. Unfortunately, this only becomes apparent very late. Our students are allowed to walk a few meters more in our challenge. True to the motto: "the best way is not always the shortest". Thus, do not arrive punctually at the central mosque in Ehrenfeld. The one-hour guided tour in which the most important information about Islam is explained to us. The architecture of the building is impressive. I really recommend this tour! Hunger drives us to explore the area further.
