"Cotton Eyed Joe" - The Rednex

Howdy 🤠

Today I'm summarizing two days because we had to get up early in the morning at the ranch.

Yesterday we drove a lot, from Memphis to Chattanooga/Danlop. We arrived at the Tennessee Dude and Guest Ranch in the afternoon and were taken to a birthday party just an hour after our arrival. The two of us were right in the middle of it all instead of just being there 🤣

Today we went to the stables at 7 to look after the horses. Afterwards we had breakfast around the campfire in cowboy style (unfortunately with a lot of rain 🙄), then our first riding lesson on the outdoor area followed by lunch.

And after that: "bible study".... yes, you read that correctly, here a short prayer is said before every meal. The contrast between city and country couldn't be greater. But at least we now know how often the horse is mentioned in the Bible and why Jesus rode on a donkey and not a horse. Let's see if you all know that 😝

In the afternoon we went riding with our horses Big Boy and Scout. They are well looked after here and the grounds are a dream. We also have to muck out, look after and feed the horses. After a few days in the city and lots of input, it's a nice change. But..... I think I like it a bit better than Christian, although he did a great job today for the first time sitting on a horse 😎
