Tag 3 # La Seyne sur Mer # Toulon # Frankreich

Good morning 🙂

At 6:45am, my husband woke me up with the words 'Land in sight', and since it was our first docking, we went straight to the balcony. We approached the first port, and it was beautiful to slowly cruise towards the docking area as the sun was rising. As someone who has just obtained their recreational boating license, it was impressive to see how such a large ship docks. Luckily, our cabin was on the right side, so we could see it from the balcony 😁

After docking, we went to Bella Donna for breakfast, which we enjoyed with a beautiful sunrise.

Since we didn't dock directly in Toulon but in a small port in La Seyne sur Mer, we got ready and disembarked. We then had to take a shuttle, which was free for us, and it took about 10 minutes to get across.

We strolled through the city center of Toulon since we didn't book an excursion. We tried to take in a few impressions and then got a real French baguette 🥖 at a market hall. You can already taste the difference between a fresh French baguette and the ones we have in Germany. Since we discovered a donut 🍩 shop across the street, we naturally got one as well, and that was also a noticeable difference. So wonderfully light and airy ☺️

At 1:30pm, we took the shuttle back to the ship.

In the afternoon, we went to Theatrium for a lecture about Catalonia, Valencia, and Cartagena. I gathered some good impressions for the upcoming ports.

At 6pm, it was time for 'Sail Away', and we set off towards Barcelona.

Dinner was again at Bella Donna, and I have to say, it had a better selection.

For the evening, there was Bingo, the game for old people 😉, No, definitely not 🤣, planned. But it wasn't just ordinary BINGO, it was Active Bingo, which was absolutely fun because there were different actions and as a reward 😋, we got a glass of champagne 🥂 or orange juice. And many glasses of champagne were consumed 🤣.

After this fun, we thought it couldn't get any better, but we were mistaken 🤣. We went to the brewery where karaoke 🎤 was happening. It was amazing. Lots of people participated, and the atmosphere was incredible. When someone was singing, almost everyone joined in. It was actually half past eleven when we went to our cabin.

Until then, I thought it couldn't get much better, but we still have a few more days ahead of us 🙈😁
