Day 20 - Fjordtour, Doubtful Sound

Today we made our way to Manapouri. Here the Milford Wanderer will depart, a two-masted ship on which we will sail into the fjords and spend the night. The fjords were incredible. At our first docking point, we were able to take canoes out. We also got to swim in Doubtful Sound.

A lot of scenes for Lord of the Rings were filmed in Milford Sound and Doubtful Sound. Locations for the River Anduin and Rivendell were found here, as well as the Dead Marshes and Fangorn.
