Cornwall is simply beautiful. Here in Bossiney, we set up on a meadow rented by a farmer. In the evening at 7 o'clock he comes and collects £5, then he locks the gate. Very reasonable, we think. Very idyllic surrounded by cow pastures. We just don't like campsites.

From here you can go on beautiful hikes. We are staying here for 2 days, the hiking trails are easy with the most magnificent views. There are also two very small beaches, but they are blocked by a rockfall with a gate. We push the gate to the side and go down the steep path, and behold, there are even more people doing the same. It is becoming more and more apparent to us that there are a lot of prohibition signs here in England. Until the tide comes back, you can swim on the beach and walk through the rock arch. But when the water comes back, the beach is flooded and you have to climb back up. Markus bravely throws himself into the cold water, Schnuffi hesitates a bit and follows, and I make myself comfortable on the beach, the water is f....cold!!!

Of course, we walk the coastal trails again. Here we meet Michelle and Russel, they come from Norfolk and are also on holiday here. We have a good conversation over a beer and get valuable travel tips, and we exchange addresses. The English people are incredibly friendly, helpful, and very sociable.
