If you're going to San Francisco

Hello guys, we're back from beautiful San Francisco.

Today we saw so much, I don't even know where to start. First of all, San Francisco is absolutely worth seeing, but we were very surprised by the poverty and the homeless people, much more than in LA, where everyone always says it's the worst. There is the smell of grass on every corner, and you can't find a street without at least 5 homeless people, even at Union Square.

But now to our day :) We started early, around 8 o'clock. We had reserved a parking garage in advance, without a reservation, it wouldn't have been possible to park for less than 80 dollars a day. First, we visited Union Square, the center of San Francisco. It quickly became clear that it was impossible to explore everything on foot or by car. So we invested a whopping 80 dollars in a hop-on-hop-off bus, and it was definitely worth it! The first stops were the Financial District and Chinatown. We then continued to Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39, where we later went again to see the sea lions lying in the sun (and they stink terribly). We then took the bus to the Golden Gate Bridge and especially to the other side, where we had a great view, thanks to the nice sunny weather we had today. Most days, the bridge is hidden in fog and you can hardly see anything. Back in downtown, we drove through Golden Gate Park and the old hippie district, where there was the smell of grass on every corner as well, but really nice colorful houses. San Francisco just as you imagine! We passed the typical streets where cable cars run and the traditional houses stand. We didn't go to the Alamo Square to see the "Painted Ladies" with the bus, so we later went there by car, but unfortunately it wasn't so easy to get there to take a nice photo. At the end of our several-hour tour, we (thankfully) ended up in the shopping district of San Francisco and spent the rest of the day there.

All in all, we agree:

You should visit the city, especially the areas away from Union Square and the beautiful houses and streets! But unfortunately, poverty is so incredibly present that you can hardly look away. Our bus guide told us that it's because all the cities with many homeless people are on the route of a train, and most of them stay in San Francisco because it's too warm in Vegas and LA and too cold in New York.

Tomorrow we're heading to Alcatraz Island :)
