The day began with a town hall meeting on the topic of visas.

The fourth event in the “Travel With Meaning” series followed later. I now get along well with the speaker, Mike Schibel.

In the afternoon one of the passengers gave an interesting lecture. Long-time government employee, cybersecurity expert and author Dr. Michael VanPutte reported on hackers and how to protect yourself. Surprisingly, many of the listeners were significantly older than me.

Afterwards I met Mike Schibel, the morning's speaker, at the Schooner Bar and sat down with him and his interviewees. We exchanged experiences and travel stories in a cheerful atmosphere.

The evening's concert, "South of Bayou," featured Julian, one of the Serenade singers, as a soloist. He can sing, but the song selection rarely met my taste.

Late in the evening I gave the comedian Stephen Thomas another chance. But that won't happen to us. Despite his awards, I don't like his brand of humor.
