Bye Bye Asia ...

After a few hours, it will continue to Zanzibar ... 👍

After walking around a lot here... despite the MRT (Metro) ... and having been on the move a lot in the last five weeks, I'm really looking forward to the "chill" Zanzibar now.

Singapore was definitely worth it, there is so much more to do here, but somehow I'm already overwhelmed by impressions 🙃😊 and therefore I won't do anything special today.

In the last two days, I visited the highly recommended "gardens by the bay" (Botanic Garden) with the "Supertrees", Sentosa Beach plus Mount Faber with the cable car (... I had my own gondola 😬), Little India (including a very cool pub district), Orchard Road and much more. Everything very diverse...

So far, I have avoided... probably to the misunderstanding of all female beings 😏 ... the countless shopping malls. I have no idea how many there are here. Even if you only wanted to browse through the malls located on the DER shopping mile of Southeast Asia, Orchard Road, you would probably be busy for days. I will remember the shopping temples mainly because of their fantastic cool air 😰.

By the way, yesterday at breakfast in the city, I met a professor from London... or was it another city??? Anyway, she spoke - in slight contrast to me - finest, polished clear English. When she finally noticed... probably because of my barely noticeable accent 🤓🤓🤓 ... that I come from Germany, she said something like, without asking me where exactly I come from, "Oh Germany, you have to visit Münster. Love it". You can imagine that due to this, as I find it, not very surprising insight, I generously revealed myself as an original citizen of Münster. I even think I saw a certain envy in her eyes 😀 ...

Well, no matter how far you travel, somehow your home ... or the Dutch and the Danes ... always catch up with you 😏.

P.S.: For those interested in architecture and design: Coincidencially ended up in the Tiong Bahru district today. Very unique high-rise architecture. Supposedly Art Deco. Also very hip stores/galleries. Somehow a quiet place, but very interesting. Unfortunately, my photos doesn't really capture it. Just google it...
