Today 'I' am allowed to write something. We have already left the North Sea Cycle Route, which was opened as EuroVelo 12 in May 2001. Now we are once again riding our own route. Today, this led us through rural areas with individual farms and smaller towns and villages. We had planned to bypass the only larger city (Leeuwarden). However, when we arrived there, we decided to ride through the city center after all. But when we followed a detour of the bicycle path until we were back at its starting point, we decided to go back to Plan 'A'. This 'detour' added about 6 km to our route. To make matters worse, on Mondays, most cafes and restaurants are closed, including those on our route.

Hallo, ihr zwei, hoffentlich musstet ihr nicht hungern heute. Es ist nicht mehr weit bis Groningen - einer Partnerstadt von Hoyerswerda. Da seid ihr ja fast 70 km gefahren heute! ! ! ! Nun verstehe ich, dass Petra keine Lust zum Schreiben hatte nach dieser Strapaze.Henry
Hoffentlich habt ihr wenigstens eine schöne Unterkunft gefunden, damit ihr euch gut erholen konntet. Es geht ja straff auf Bremen zu. Haben uns im WDR eine tolle Sendung von Süd Holland angeschaut, können euch beneiden, gute Weiterfahrt.
