Home and back again

On 31.03. I flew from Dublin to Frankfurt. I took a bus from Cork to Dublin with a friend, and there we met Emilia, who took a different flight than me. Due to a storm in Frankfurt at the time of my original departure, our plane was delayed by an hour. After landing, I was very excited to see my family again and, of course, my dogs. Naturally, I got lost in the airport, but I was so happy when I saw all 5 of them (including my dogs). Once we were in the car, it felt like I had never left. It was already quite late, and since we had a 6-hour car ride ahead of us, we arrived home at 3 am the next day.

On Monday, Emilia and I visited the school, and on Tuesday and Wednesday, I finally met Melli again. We spent both days walking around the city, drinking bubble teas, and eating langos/sushi. It was really nice to see her again and talk to her in person.

On Thursday, we went to Waldgut. We went hiking a few times, and for the first time that I can remember, I won at Monopoly. I was very happy. On Tuesday, we went to Tropical Island for Mama's birthday, and that was really nice. On Friday, we all drove back home because we had to wake up very early on Saturday (0.30 am) for my flight that was scheduled to depart at 10.25 am. We had to drive to Frankfurt, and Calli stayed home but the dogs came with us. It was really hard to say goodbye. After going through the security check, all I had to do was find my gate. Everything went well, and after landing in Dublin, I had to wait two more hours for my bus. I arrived home around 9 pm, as I also had to wait for over an hour in Cork and an hour in Mallow.

On Monday, school started again. Yesterday (Tuesday), we had PE, and since the weather was very nice, we went outside and played basketball. We were divided into four teams of four.... Of course, I had to score my own goal, and at one point, the ball got stuck between the hoop and the backboard. After that, I was really demotivated, but it was still fun. After school, I met up with Sarah, and we walked to Lidl. I bought shampoo and 24 small 500ml water bottles, thinking that I would have one bottle for each day, and then I would have reached the halfway point of my time here. We then took the things home, and I have to say, it was quite difficult... Afterward, we each got an ice cream and walked around the park. In the evening, we went back home. Today was only a half-day, so Sophie, Sarah, and I went to Spar and had a wrap.

I'm sitting down now because I promised my parents that I would write in my blog today...

Although you probably don't know him, a few hours ago, news came that one of my favorite idols, Moonbin from Astro, was found dead in his apartment this morning. He committed suicide at the young age of 25. This news came completely out of nowhere, and I was devastated when I heard it. I don't know what to say, I just extend my deepest condolences to his family and friends and hope that his soul finds peace.

Lastly, something positive. My little brother turned 15 today, unbelievable. He's already so old, well, it's hard to call him little now since he's even taller than me... I wish my BABY brother a happy birthday, I hope all your wishes come true, and I hope you'll always be healthy and happy like a little ray of sunshine. Even though you can be really difficult sometimes, I love you very much and miss you already (all of you).
