From Kuala Lumpur to Kota Kinabalu in Borneo.

On December 10th, 2018, I took the train towards the airport with this beautiful view. Compared to other public transportation, this train was quite expensive at 8 euros for a short distance. The monopoly position is clearly being exploited here.

At the airport, I had a little snack from KFC.

Our Air Asia flight took off with a delay. The airspace was too crowded, so the waiting planes were stuck on the ground.

The clouds are hanging in the air like cotton.

And then I was picked up at the airport in the evening by my host Fiz. I had once again decided to do Couchsurfing. We went out to eat and to a bar in the evening.

December 11th, 2018: Lunch.

And then to the nearby beach. Unfortunately, the water smelled like sewage, so I didn't stay there for long. In general, only a few people dared to go into the water here.

Then we visited a few sights, like this mosque located in the water.

Then we went to an abandoned ruin-like building where we could enjoy a great view.

Me, our host, and Manuel from Germany, also visiting.

A great name for a bar with dartboards.

Dinner.

And: to the Christmas market!!!

Well, artificial snow at least.

Bears for eating.

Avocado shake with jelly grass or something on top. Wasn't that great.
