First days in Melbourne

1 month in Melbourne - where should I start? :) I've been pretty busy, so the first report is coming quite late.

But first of all: I'm doing great J After some initial health issues, I was fully in my element after 2 weeks. I'm running from A to B, having breakfast or devouring the food in Melbourne's kitchen, attending an English course for French people, enjoying the sun, the beach, and the proximity to the sea, and above all, spending time with my sister and Pete!

Job-wise, everything is a bit more difficult than expected, but so far I'm doing well as a cook and baker at home, as well as with small tasks as a hostess at conferences or teaching French to private individuals to make ends meet.

And I'm practically still on vacation. The leisure center (fitness classes, swimming pool, and outdoor boot camp) around the corner from Nadine's is currently offering a cheap "Fit for the summer" challenge, so I signed up right away.

Aside from that, I've already met nice French girls in my English course for French people (I just sneaked in and am tolerated lol), met a nice Austrian girl at a speed-friending event, and there's no shortage of nice people J

But now back to the beginnings - surprise breakfast, cozy room, left-hand traffic chaos, gaps in my English language skills, and funny, but mostly sunny weather welcomed me. of course, Naddi picked me up at the airport and started chatting right away J I was still exhausted from the flight, the time difference, the constant change in weather, and somehow from all the impressions I had gained.

Home away from home - my room with flowers and gifts as a welcome

On the first day, I danced through the house with joy, I was just happy to have arrived on the other side of the world, to enjoy the sun, and to have breakfast on the terrace.
