As I am only 6 km away from the Yoga Vidya center, I have decided to stay another night in the Teutoburg Forest. I wake up early so that I am there for the first yoga class in the morning. Before it starts, I have the opportunity to take a look around the building. Luckily, I find some other participants for the back yoga, because in the huge center with several yoga classes running in parallel, I have to find my way around first. Afterwards, I join the meal, where a buffet full of vegetarian delicacies awaits me for 7 euros.
I get into a conversation with Christopher, who has been living at Yoga Vidya for 3 years and works there as a helper. You can immediately tell that he is very advanced in his spiritual development. The exchange with him about the yoga philosophy and the energetic effect of different foods and herbs is very inspiring. In general, the visit to the center, even though I only spend half a day there, has an incredible spiritual impact on me.
So energized and relaxed, I take on the 5-hour drive back in the midday heat and arrive in Appenweier around 8 p.m. I make a stop at the Urloffener Baggersee to regenerate from the journey before dropping in on Mama and Bruno. Both are very happy about the (birthday) surprise that I am arriving today after all. :)
And so the adventure of apartment exchange comes to an end. A journey where I not only got to know new corners of Germany, but which was primarily characterized by wonderful coincidences and encounters with people. Furthermore, I have once again become aware of how little one actually needs to live, that a solution can be found for every situation, and that one is happiest in the here and now. I am grateful for the experience and I must say that I am hooked on van life. ;)
