Day 8: Travel day - from Town 1770 to Cape Hillsborough

Our alarm clock rang quite early again today. Since the sun sets early here - after all, it is winter here in the southern hemisphere - we have to adjust to it if we don't want to arrive in the dark every evening. Especially driving in the dark is not recommended due to the many wildlife accidents, especially with kangaroos. In addition, we had a long day of driving ahead of us - about 600 km to Cape Hillsborough. The GPS predicted 8 hours of driving time. Phew.
