Day 28: Goodbye Australia

Today was the day to say farewell to Australia. After nearly four weeks, we began our journey home today.

After breakfast, we packed the last things together. Then we drove one last time over the Stuart Highway to Darwin. At Woolworth, we bought some TimTams for home.

Since there was still a little time until we had to be at the airport, we took a break at the Darwin Waterfront.

We arrived at the airport around 1 PM. The luggage drop-off and the second security check for international flights were somewhat chaotically organized.

However, our flight departed on time towards Singapore. The flight was uneventful, and after about 4.5 hours, we landed in Singapore.

In order not to have to drag our bags around all day tomorrow, we left them at the luggage storage.

We then took a taxi to the hotel.

There we were able to try various Asian dishes from the buffet. The dessert buffet especially surprised with interesting taste experiences.
