Lake Garda and Verona

The tour around Lake Garda or along the eastern shore was beautiful. It was warm but very windy. However, we were able to have ice cream right by the lake and watch the surfers, for whom the wind was perfect. Unfortunately, we couldn't find a campsite right by the lake and the weather forecast wasn't good enough to justify staying overnight. So we continued to Verona and chose a campsite there that was brand new. It was located 5 km outside the city but had everything you could wish for, including the opportunity to rent bicycles. So on Friday, we rode into the city with the Thule trailer and two really good bikes. On the way there, we hadn't quite figured out the bicycle path system yet, which made our plan quite exciting. When we arrived in the city center, we were amazed by its beauty. One highlight was, of course, Juliet's balcony, where Romeo stood. We really liked this city.

We spent the evening at the beautiful campsite and planned our next trip to Venice.
